Thank you to everyone who voted for the Liberal Democrats in this year’s elections to Blackpool Council.

Overall Labour retained control of the council while the Independents were wiped out. The town hall now has 28 Labour councillors and 14 Conservative, with no other voices represented.

We stood four candidates in the local elections.

In Warbreck, Kev Benfold took 158 votes and Paul Hindley 147 votes.

In Highfield, Bill Greene took 172 votes, while in Claremont Sue Close took 124 votes.
